Dear Recycler,
It’s Gold to go Green at the Midland Volunteers for Recycling Center! Businesses and residents want to “Go Green” and an important part of that is recycling! The recycling center is busier than ever with tours of 3rd graders coming in to learn about recycling and residents who want to recycle more materials than the curbside programs will accept.
Part of MVFR's new “Gold to go Green” program is its new paper shredder. You can now bring out your boxes and bags of documents that need to be shredded for privacy and identity protection . . . and shred them yourself at no charge! Another feature of our program is that businesses can get recyclables picked-up for a small fee. MVFR offers a unique recycling service. Other programs will pick-up cardboard and/or office paper . . . MVFR will do that and more! We can tailor our program to accept the materials each individual business would like to recycle such as beverage containers (cans and bottles), newspapers, magazines, polystyrene foam, and plastic bags.
This year, MVFR staff and volunteers will embark on a new venture – event recycling! You will see our recycling team collecting cardboard and plastic bottles at area events such as the Antique Festival or Loon's baseball games. Educating people on the benefits of waste reduction, reuse, and recycling will continue to be MVFR’s primary mission; you will see our informative displays and hands-on activities at these events as well.
This is a challenging time for businesses, non-profits and families. But there are many exciting opportunities as well. We need your financial support to help us continue to offer the excellent recycling, educational, volunteer and work experience opportunities that Midland area residents, agencies and businesses have come to depend on!
Please complete the form below and remember, MVFR is a nonprofit organization and your donation is 100% tax-deductible!
Sincerely,
Esther Seaver,
Executive Director
